If you have been blessed (or cursed, whichever way you prefer to look at it) with a job that requires you to sit on a desk for a long period of time, chances are you have had to shift countless times to get to that sweet, comfortable sitting arrangement. I’d even bet that after a hard day’s work, all you want to do is stand up, let your lets loose and just take a little breather or exercise to make sure that your legs are still attached to your body.
You might not know this, but the way you sit tells volumes about you as a person. Although there are many ways that you can sit, there are a few that have been accurately linked to different personality traits.
Think hard on your favorite sitting position. Once you have that in your mind, read on to see if your pose falls into any of the following types:
#1 People that cross their legs
People that cross their legs are more often than not imaginative and restless types of people. They often imagine themselves in situations that can be considered far away from what is possible. It could be that they are on a cruise, or spend their lives with their favorite actor or actress.
They are also constantly curious for new knowledge and experiences. Impulsiveness when making critical life altering decisions are also a defining characteristic.
Traveling is an important necessity for these types of people because they hate the routine life. They are also party people; more often than not the ones that influence the flow of the party.
Happiness is their number one priority and don’t think twice in making any decision as long as it brings them happiness.
#2 People that have their knees together but their feet are apart
People that have their knees together but their feet are apart generally are considered charming and creative. These types of people also take life quite lightly, which allows them to multitask very effortlessly.
However, although they can get a lot done, they cannot zone in on just one specific task for a long time. What’s more, they might choose run off their mouth before thinking about what it is that they want to say.
These kinds of people tend to run away from problems instead of facing them. What’s more, they choose to blame others whenever things get majorly out of hand, or worse, make someone else solve their problem so that they themselves aren’t burdened by it.
Bright side is, people seem to value this type of personality. People like them tend to draw others and make them comfortable in their presence.
#3 People who sit with their knees apart and feet together
People who sit with their knees apart and feet together are known perfectionists. They are quite overly cautious when it comes to certain aspects of their life, and prefer to mull every option before making one.
These types of people tend to let their minds wander during interactions with others. What’s more, they tend to loose interest with someone that has a different perspective from theirs since these types of people loose focus with things that they don’t find interesting.
Because they are what they are, misunderstandings can develop; sometimes people might think they are arrogant snobs.
Interestingly, even though they are known perfectionists, they are more often disorganized. Still, they weirdly draw strength and logic in the mess they make.
